A Travellerspoint blog

Jan 11, 2010...A day to remember.

sunny 27 °C

Tomorrow is D-day, the day I have been waiting for since Germany, 2006. All the arrangements have been made and I can't wait for the clock to tick the last few hours away to take us into the opening game.

I've converted currency to South African Rand and it looks fabulous! Take a look at the pic below:

Still need to pack though, I'm quite lazy when it comes to this but I hope to take care of that sometime tonight, or tomorrow...heh

UPDATE: Packing's almost done...
5 X Shirts
2 X Jeans
2 X Shorts
Those are the essentials, everything else is game wear and other stuff. I like to travel light...thank you!

Here's a pic with my bright orange backpack - GO ORANJE!

I was told to carry some ZAR and some USD so that I could convert as I went along once I reached there. I hope this works out ok because carrying cash is not always the wisest thing to do...Anyhow, it's just money at the end of the day.

I will *try* to continue to update the blog from South Africa if possible - dependent on whether or not I end up getting a computer that's fast enough to upload pictures and such. If not I'll update it once I get back for sure - thanks to everyone for reading this and keeping up with the blog.

This is Sandeep - signing out!
